Carnivorous. They eat anything they can fit into their mouths. Some examples are crickets, waxworms, earthworms, moths, small fish, and adults could be offered pinkies sometimes, however don't feed them mealworms as their tough shell could be hard to digest and can cause problems. Feed them about 3-4 times a week and dust food items once a week.
Calcium/D3 are a must to prevent stunted groth, weak bones, weak joints, and death. I use reptical which provides calcium/D3, dust food items once a week.
Maintenance is easy if you have a water filter. Every 2 weeks take out 1/4 of the water and add fresh water, every month clean the filter, and every 3 months clean the whole tank and the pebbles. Do not use any soaps or cleaning liquids as they could kill the toads.
